Anyone ever watch “Broken Bridges?.†It was shown on a transpacific flight I was on over the thanksgiving break. not an atrocity...just a really fucking stupid, ignorant display, put on by men and women who are supposed to be promoting peace and unity within that country, but get a real kick out of this type of thing...
and frankly, haven't these soldiers learned that when they feel the need to partake in this type of "harmless fun" or whatnot, the smart thing would be to not have any cameras/recorders documenting their utter stupidity?...
whether i see it on the internet, or on the front line with an m16 in my hands, it's still a disgusting, shameful scene....

People under duress and stressful conditions sometimes partake in questionable or less than desirable actions. Place the blame where blame is due. If our government wasn't run by idiots we wouldn't have our soldiers in a situation where something like this might happen.

Yeah, sorry to say it but let me know when you find that perfect world it is you're looking for. I'm not saying I think it was the smartest thing in the world for these troops to have done, but who knows how long these guys have been in country, participating in a police action that has no end in sight, living and working among people who all look the same to them, but some want to help them and some want to kill them...... hey wait a second! We already did this once before in the 60's didn't we?

Tough to compare these soldiers to Vietnam. Those soldiers were dicks because they were forced into the military. Of course, I'dve probably said the same thing. "Can we stop trying to fight this war with dicks who ... blah, blah, blah."
