U2 have been forced to postpone their massive world tour which was due to kick-off in March.
The ‘How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb’ tour was to start in Miami on March 1, but according to a source close to the band, family illness means that the scheduled dates will not go ahead as originally planned.
"All of the plans are in total flux," the source told Rolling Stone.
The planned ten-month tour included a massive 114 dates. There are currently no hints as to when the band, nominated for three Grammy awards for their last single ‘Vertigo’, will reschedule the first leg of shows.
The band will still play at the Grammy awards ceremony on February 13 in Los Angeles, and at their induction into theRock & Roll Hall of Fame inNew York on March 14.
U2’s new single ‘Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own’ is released on February 7.

The tour announcement has been put back, as Paul McGuinness, U2's manager, explained.
'We've postponed the announcement of the tour because the routing is still being worked on. As soon as we get everything confirmed over the coming weeks, we'll let you know.'
