Much better than the lyrics. Discuss.

I think its pretty subpar all together.

The music is very basic, however, the outro was pretty sweet live.

The jam near the end is fantastic. The timing of the song is stellar. And the only thing I can figure people might not like about the lyrics is the repeated "got me a big wave" thing. The rest of the lyrics are incredible.

I find the "tion" rhymes to be pretty lame. But the jam in the end is hyper sweet indeed, Mike was quite inspired.

No matter how hard I try, I just can't get into this song. I don't feel the lyrics or the music.

Mostly 4 with a bar of 5 in between the "got me a big wave"s. The ending is repeating bars of 4 and 5. That's why it's so cool. 8) They should keep that ending going longer and let Matt really cut it up. They did for almost a full minute at the Gorge, but Matt didn't do much, and Mike was just making noise. I say, have Jeff and Stone hold down the rhythm and just let Matt go nuts. Mike can make the noises, but they have to be in time. Ed can just pretend like he's surfing, or something.

When the album first came out, the only thing I liked about Big Wave was the music. Now I like everything about the song (the outro is still my favorite). Jeff wrote some killer music on this album (see: Army Reserve also).

With this song I'm tired with Ed's water, surfing, ocean themes in his lyrics. The lyrics to Big Wave give me tremendous douche chills. The live versions I've heard however are stellar, especically the end jam.

That's a little harsh, especially coming from someone who is the president of the Boy George fan club.

love the music. Lyrics are okay. Great live.

I wouldn't like it more as an instrumental cuz I'd miss eddie's voice, but I wouldn't have minded something with a bit more substance.
