Alberto Gonzales was appointed by George W. Bush to be attorney general. The democrates are firing away at Alberto. That is not the way to win back the popular vote in America sorry to say. The United Latin AMerican Citizens League (the oldest league of hispanics) are hoping the best for Gonzales. The hispanics are a booming minority as you may know. They're going to play an even more important factor in elections down the road. The democrates are only pushing them away.
George W. Bush has been working on getting the Hispanics over to the republican side. He is doing a fine job. By getting hispanics to the republican side, it is going to make it tough for democrates to win elections in the future. I don't know about you, I just think its a smart move by Bush.

yes. by moving to give all illegal aliens from mexico citizenship status. that's surely a good idea. let's not even check to see who we've let in. just give them citizenship.
oh, and, *democrats.

So if Bush nominated a black man for the position, he'd be securing the vote of blacks for the republican party? Do you seriously think all hispanics are going to vote Republican because that Bush fella' was nice to that hispanic dude back in 2005? Whatever.

Please don't get bitter folks. No it wouldn't work if Bush nominated a black man. Well he did nominate a black woman to a position, but thats besides the point. I'm sure they know its to late to get the African Americans over to the republican side. And did I say all hispanics would vote republican? I'm just telling you that interest groups and leagues of hispanics are pulling for Gonzales, and it doesn't look good for the democrates by ripping on him. It could be a huge factor.

and the democrats are what, supposed to just roll over and confirm him? people, democrats and republicans alike shouldn't ask questions?
if i were hispanic, i wouldn't think "oh, bush has nominated a hispanic. i'm gonna vote republican now." i'd think "oh. bush nominated a hispanic." and i wouldn't think that the democrats were trying to rip him to shreds, either. i'd think they were just trying to make an informed decision.

Maybe if you actually read Alberto Gonzales background information you would see he's completely unacceptable for the position, as were John Ashcroft and Janet Reno. Don't try and make this a "me v. you" issue.

I also don't think he chose him just to get the hispanic vote, but its a good move in that sense. He is right for the job, and I won't let those soldiers in the prisons who like getting their kicks by torturing prisoners, ruin gonzales reputation.

I hope this isn't a writing assignment for your 8th grade civics class because you are probably going to get an F.

Hahaha! Because he actually wrote something in his original thread, instead of your same ol' retarded bullshit. I'd lock your ignorant posts if I could, not just the threads you create. So please STFU. Thank you.
