Hi there,

I've just found a copy of Vs in "Eco-pak" packaging (a crazy hybrid between digi-pak and jewel case) and was wondering if was worth buying (mainly for novelty value as I own a few copies of Vs already).

Anyone know of this release?

I see those somewhat regularly at used shops. I don't think there's any real added value to them. I'd get it only if you are a completist.

I got that for $5 last year as my first real copy of Vs. (my burned version got scratched too much) and it's the same as the regular jewl case

It would only be a novelty. The entire first pressing of Vs. was in that type, and remember, it sold close to a million copies in its first week of release. There are probably 2 million of them out there.

Worst package design ever. Not teh art, that's pretty cool, but teh damn thing broke on me in less than a week, and I know a bunch of people whose broke in the same way. Piece of shit, that's why you've never seen another album with that casing.

It's not worth anything, but it's still cool to have.

You must be an aggressive CD-listener. Mine is still in excellent condition.

If it was cheap, I say buy it. It's a limited release that you can't just pick up at Best Buy anymore. It's worth a few bucks. Of course, I'd throw out my other copy of Vs.
