Yeah, Montreal and Peal Jam go hand in Hand. I've seen them there 3 times and each show was spectacular!
The drive to get to MTL is long as hell... I'm sure the maritimers would agree with me on that, but always worth it in the end.

toronto and montreal were definitely an interesting experience back in summer '03. i remember heading to the molsen ampitheatre around 6:00 in the morning to wait for my 10c tickets and get sun burned. i met a girl also on her way to the line up at a downtown bus station and found out she was going to montreal as well. there was this old dude behind us on the bus who over heard our conversation and decided to inform us that if we went to montreal we would get AIDS. suffice to say gave him a slight acknowledgement of his pressence and attempted to ignore him from then on. as we turned away he raised his voice slightly to proclaim that he got AIDS from going to montreal and at that point we had to laugh
after the show my friend dropped me off at the bus station and i didnt get much sleep until the next morning when i passed out on the pavement in front of the centre bell. now the coolest part i have to say for any canadian from the west (winnipeg in my case) is i met this dude named guy and he was a seperatist but he was excited to practice his english with me. i have to say that i'm piss poor at french and i wish i could have spoken some to him but he seemed more than happy to converse in my mother tongue.

Yeah...the drive to Montreal is always awesome..just the whole experience of going to see PJ, what you think they'll play etc...then there's the fact that Montreal is a pretty cool spot. But...the drive home rots....I guess that is typical..but I think it gets worse every time I do it..helps when you have a car full of Jamophiles! My buddy and I said that this year we'd go to Boston, as it is less of a drive..but I can't see me missing Montreal..every show there is awesome...crowd and band.
