- Australia vs Croatia, 1st round World Cup
Keeper howler, end to end football, GRAHAM FUCKING POLL making up this new 3 yellow = 1 red rule, and calling an end to the match as the ball was rolling into the goal

- Italy vs Germany, semi final World Cup
Who knew Italy could attack like that?

- Holland vs Portugal, quarter final World Cup
a great game it mightn't be, but man was it fun to watch

- Sweden vs Trinidad and Tobago, 1st round World Cup
One of the most exciting nil-all draws I've ever seen. Shaka Hislop just delivered the most extraordinary goalie performance ever. You can't win if you don't score. And on that day, no one could've beaten T&T. Hislop just wasn't gonna let anything past him.

This list is pretty bad. No Texas vs. USC in the Rose Bowl for the National Championship? No World Cup matches?

I don't think they were ordered. The gallery just said "1 out of 26" but it didn't mention that they were in any order.

Texas - USC might be the best game of this decade, let alone the year.

That's what I thought when I saw that game made the list. It's not like it was a nail-biter, and the officiating sucked to boot.

#23 was the DOdgers hitting 4 straight homers to tie SD and Nomar hitting one to win on the 10th and was one of the greatest sports moments of my life. Ill never forget that night, so improbable and un fucking believable!

That still doesn't mean it was a great "game". In fact, i bet that nobody here knows what the score of the game or any other meaningful highlights of it.

Oh, I absolutely agree with you. It's not even a best moment of the year in sports in my opinion.

Yeah, I'm glad to see the NJ one despite its relatively small audience.

That was the funniest game I have ever seen. But if one World Cup game should make it:

Mexico - Argentina 1-2 (after extra time)

By very, very, very, very far the best game of the WC.
