Sources saw half the Jets team getting plastered in a La Jolla bar last night. They have already given up.
And yes, Brees "The Comeback Kid" had half a good season to lead the Chargers to 6-1 in 2002. The defense crumbled against the Jets and didn't get it back until this year.

..in order to comeback, dont you have to be good at one point??
i mean he was good in college..but since he always sucked as a pro shouldnt he get a most improved player award or something instead
No kidding. Mark Fields should have won it. He was out of the league last year receiving chemo for cancer. Now he's playing this year...now that's a comeback.

Drew Brees definitely earned the Comeback award. Schotty had written his death sentence on his career in San Diego, and he went out there and proved him and everyone else wrong.

but what did he come back from? being a bad QB?
Most of the time, the award is given to a guy coming off a bad injury, or someone who's been out of the leauge for a while.
