Fight Card:

Chuck Lidell vs. Tito Ortiz - LHeavyweight Title Bout
I'm rooting for Chuck once again. His last KO of Tito was one of the greatest in history, and funny as hell because Tito is such a shit talker. He absolutely mutilated him with those combos at the end. I'm predicting a similar finish to this fight, but I think it might take until late in the 3rd or 4th round. I still haven't seen someone who can take down Chuck, and Sobral is better at it than Ortiz, so I think he is gonna be SOL for this fight.

Heavyweight Fights:

Arlovski vs. Cruz
I'm counting on this to be one of the more exciting fights of the night. I'd like Arlovski to win, but I expect this to be a good one either way.

Wellish vs. Perosh

Gonzaga vs. Marrero
Marrero is the guy that beat Kongo by just controlling him on the grown. Very unimpressive, but UFC needs any HW competition they can find.

LHweight Fights:

Bisping vs. Schafer
Schafer has an impressive record at 9-1-2, but I'm still looking for Bisping to KTFO him. Bisping is the fucking man!

Griffin vs. Jardine
Jardine never really impressed me too much after dropping down to LHW. He had a close fight against Bonnar, but now that Bonnar has lost twice to Griffin, I don't expect Jardine will present to much of a risk to Griffin.

Middleweight Fights:

Okami vs. Singer
I thought Rory Singer was a whiney douchebag on TUF, so I hope he gets his face smashed in by this pretty badass looking japanese dude who also happens to be 18-3-0.

Leben vs. Macdonald
Let's see here. Chris Leben is a fucking punkass chump. Macdonald is a badass. Leben has a better record and he has demonstrated he does have skills, but I still hope he gets fucked up. Macdonald is in much better shape so if he doesn't have a weak jaw or bad submission defense, he could pull a win out of this one.

Welterweight Fights:

Alves vs. Desouza
Alves isn't bad, and I have never seen Desouza fight, so I don't really care who wins this one.

Oh, the UFC website for this is pretty cool. Check it out: http://66.ufc.com/66.html

Can't wait to see Tito get his shit ruined. Looking forward to Griffin/Jardine, and Okami/Singer's gonna be fun to watch, too. Okami's fucking badass.

Just got done watching UFC: All Access. Liddell is such a down to earth coolass guy, and I had no idea how much of a rivalry and shit-talking there is in between the two. I'm so pumped for Saturday. Agree about Griffin/Jardine too... this is gonna be an awesome show.

Yeah, I've been watching UFC stuff for the past 2 hours. Maybe I'll whip out that original UFC game for the PS1 later, and see if I can not get my ass kicked for once.

Spike is pretty much turning into the UFC channel. All the hype shows have been nice, but I'm ready for this card to get here. Obviously Chuck/Tito is the most interesting fight on the card, but i'm really looking forward to Arlovski/Cruz and Leben/Mcdonald. Hopefully Arlovski can get back on track, and Leben needs a win, but Jason Mcdonald is nothing to scoff at. One of these men is heading towards a title shot in 2007.

Mike Bispings also back. It looks like they fed him a can for his first fight on ppv. Hopefully he looks as impressive as he did on TUF. Forrest/Jardine is going to be fun. I see it going to a decision, with Forrest gaining the edge, just based on their respective Bonnar fights. But I'm not counting out Jardine.

They showed a few fights from UFC 59 tonight and I forgot how much I like Alves. I'm looking forward to watching that fight, too.

Alves fight went down about as close to my mental prediction as possible. Arlovski was a little better a contest than I thought, but I was really surprised Jardine took Griffin out as soundly as he did.

Man that was a fucking great card. All of those were awesome fights, and what a surprise from Jardine. I feel awful for Forrest.

Can't fucking wait to watch Cro Cop KTFO some chump asses!

The only surprise on the main event was that Tito lasted as long as he did.

Great fucking show. Can't wait to see UFC 67. Supposedly looks like this so far:

* Welterweight Championship bout: Georges St. Pierre vs. Matt Serra
* Middleweight Championship bout: Anderson Silva vs. Travis Lutter

* Heavyweight bout: Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipović vs. Eddie Sanchez

* Light Heavyweight bout: Quinton Jackson vs. Marvin Eastman
* Middleweight bout: Patrick Cote vs. Scott Smith
* Lightweight bout: Melvin Guillard vs. Dustin Hazelett

Really good card.

Alves-Desouza went pretty much how I thought it would. Alves looks very impressive... but he might be a little too small.

Bisping looked great against a good opponent in Eric Schafer.

I feel bad for Leben. He clearly works hard, but he may have hit his peak. Jason Mcdonald has looked very impressive for two fights in a row now. He's definitely a guy to watch.

Arlovski's win definitely pleased me. It wasn't as decisive as I would've liked, but that punch he landed right before the KO was vicious.

Too bad for Forrest. I'm not a huge Jardine fan, so I was definitely rooting for Forrest. He was on his way to winning round 1, but Jardine pulled it out in impressive fashion. Shades of Liddell in that first flurry of punches that knocked Forrest to the ground. Hopefully Forrest can rebound from this loss, I see him facing Koscheck sometime in the near future. Maybe main-eventing a UFN.

And Chuck-Tito. Very good fight. I thought Chuck had him in the first round, but good job to Tito for fighting out of it. Originally I didn't think the fight would go past the 3rd round, but I was starting to see a decision finish. Chuck looked kind of sluggish, and Tito looked like he was starting to gas out. Good job to Chuck on the knockout, though you could see Tito was going to try and roll out of it when Yamasake stepped in. I think Yamasake may have been making up for the first round with a slightly early stoppage. But either way, Chuck would've walked away with it. He's so impressive, and I can't wait to see him avenge his loss to Rampage. But he'll need to look more explosive than he did tonight.

And needless to say, I couldn't be more excited about Cro-Cop officially fighting for the UFC. He's going to tear through that HW division like it's nothing.

They aren't in the same weight class, so no, unless Chuck moved up they wouldn't fight. I can't see Cro-cop going down to LHW. If they fought Chuck might have a chance if he took him down... but Cro-cop's striking is WAY better than Chucks.

Definitely a solid card. The bar was very crowded. I forget what happened in most of the fights, but I know who won all of them. I'll have to watch them again. But I've watched Liddell/Ortiz three times now.

I think that fight was as competitive as it could possibly be. I've been saying for months that I didn't see any way that Tito would feasibly be able to overcome Chuck. People think that Liddell is one dimensional, but they are ignorant to the fact that his wrestling background is more decorated than Ortiz's. If you watch his earliest MMA fights, he does a lot more grappling. The reason he has evolved into such a great fighter is because he has built on that and become a proficient striker. World-class wrestlers have had difficulty contorlling him, so how can someone such as Ortiz (who actually is a one-dimensional fighter) get the best of him?

Tito feared Chuck. He flinched a lot during the fight and half-committed himself to many of his attacks. He was very scared of getting hit. He did pretty well with his striking, but he was clearly not confident. I think his gameplan worked as well as it could have. That takedown in the second round was very nice - good level and direction change, and he immediately took his back. But...he couldn't do anything to him once he had him there (I'm kind of confused as to why he didn't go for wrist control).

The good thing is that UFC now has Rampage. Even if they were to immediately throw him at Chuck (which they aren't doing - he's fighting Marvin Eastman in February) there will still be history behind the fight as it is Liddell's only unavenged loss. So I'm glad there is some life being injected into the UFC 205 division, because Chuck has no beaten Bablu and Tito twice - making certain that they won't be getting a title shot for a long time. It would be retarded to throw someone like Jardine at Chuck.

So what the hell is next for Tito? As long as Chuck is in the UFC, he'll never hold that belt again. Who are they going to put him against next?

Is Tito Ortiz that good? I don't follow MMA, but every time I hear about him he's losing.

Tito Ortiz soundly won five consecutive fights before last night.

From 1997-2003, he lost twice.

Yeah, he's good. He's 15-5 in his career.

His problem is that he can pretty much own anyone in his weight class (in UFC) whose name isn't Chuck Liddell. So until Chuck retires or dies or something, he'll never win his Light Heavyweight belt back, as was stated earlier.

I don't think Chuck will be around much longer. He is already 37 years old. Maybe a couple years, but my guess is as soon as he loses the title he will retire.

Marvin Eastman has a win over Rampage, so that should be an interesting fight. It's not an easy win for him so it makes for a better card.

Did anyone else notice how they kept showing clips of Rampage back when he was in UFC, but didn't even show Cro Cop's picture because he was never in it? Stupid liscensing rights.

Actually, Rampage has never fought for UFC. All of those clips were from his WFA fight with Matt Lindland back in July. But yea, that sucks how they couldn't show any Cro Cop highlights, just some shitty little graphic with his name over a Croation flag, haha. I seriously wonder how American fans are going to react to him. Most UFC fans have no idea who the fuck he is. they're doing the right thing by promoting him heavily, though.

At least they're not throwing complete cans at Rampage and Cro Cop. Eastman is a good, but inconcsistent fighter. Still no one to take lightly, and Eastman did beat him (in Rampage's first MMA fight ever). Eastman has a pretty weak chin. Eddie Sanchez is solid, but obviously not on the level of Cro Cop.

I know Cro Cop is your boy, B-hed, but I think his mental game is a bit lacking. He almost called it quits after the Hunt loss, and call me an asshole...but he didn't want to deal with Fedor on New Year's Eve.

But yea...that doesn't take away from the fact that he is going to have his way with UFC's heavyweight division. We all know he can make 205, so maybe a fight between him and Liddell will happen somewhere down the line. I know Chuck wouldn't turn it down.

Considering that there are a ton of UFC fans on Sherdog and MMANews, etc., it's highly, highly unlikely that the majority of UFC fans don't know who Cro-Cop is.
