give this lovable little character a hand. he's just the icing on the cake on a fox sports baseball game when the astros or red sox are playing. yesterday he tuaght us all how to brush a batter away from the plate, and a couple of games ago, he taught us all what a sinker does!

this is the scooter appreciation thread. who's with me?

to this little animated friend's defense, he doesn't teach them how to throw pitches, he just teaches us all what they do.

Someone, anyone, PLEASE buy the next MLB contract. Fox fucking sucks.
I know what those pitches do from watching normal telecasts, not from some goofy animated baseball. Dumbing things down is not usually the best way to teach it.

The worst thing to happen to ALL sports is Fox. They're terrible at EVERYTHING.

And I second the person with the sports clinic comment. Nobody under 14 should be throwing curveballs/sliders, or any type of pitch that puts a strain on the elbow. Even at 14, your physical development state should be taken into account.

Which is why I rarely watch the little league world series, too painful to watch these kids blowing out their arms. How many of those kids have you seen in the pros? Only a handlful.

I am not a big fan of Scooter but one thing I hate more? those balloon things that fans hit together to make noise. Quite lame

haha, we were watching game 5 of the astros/braves series last week at this place called buffalo wild wings. the place being full of astros fans, the management had the bright idea to pass them out to anyone who wanted one. the 'stros got a big strike out, and the next thing you know, everyone is on thier feet cheering. my ridiculously excitable friend came up with that tunderstick in his hand swinging, knocking over and shattering his beer glass and cutting another guy at the table's hand.

*sigh*

i think fox has one of, if not the best, nfl pregame show.

and the only crew that rivals how bad mccarver is on fox baseball (i dont mind buck too much, and leiter actually isnt that bad), is sunday night football with theisman and those clows. they suck.

mccarver on a split fingered fastball thrown by leiber earlier in the game- "that pitch works best when it looks like a strike, but it drops out of the strike zone."

really????????????

what a fuckin genius.

I got a better one by that alzheimer's patient.

Faulke walked Sierra, he says "that's just as good as a homerun" WHAT?? You moron, homerun gives you a run, BB gives you one freaking base!! I hate Fox! I want to mute Buck who tries to be so dramatic, but sucks, and McCarver who has no clue what's going on, and only hear Al Leiter. He chimes in whenever he has something, not when he needs to hear himself talk like those other two morons.

Scooter makes me want to slit my wrists.

I hate Joe Buck so much. Those fox announcers are blatantly biased toward the Yankees. I wish there was a "Mute Announcers" button on my remote. I also wish NESN was allowed to show the games. BRING ME JERRY REMY!!!
