Anyone know any good alternatives to geocities? I'd like to upload my own html files and not have them crushed to the left by giant ads. I don't expect a free site to be ad free, but something less than what geocities does would be nice.

I've got a googlepages site and a blogger site, but neither gives me enough control over the layout of the site.

Given that my wife forced me to drop from 3 Neflix movies at a time to 2 in order to save $2 a month, I'm going to say ... "no."
