I figure I owe some pictures to those who voted for me for Release Forumer of 2006. Sorry for taking a while. Out of the blue, my father and I found ourselves way over our storage limit on pbase, so I've been working for a couple weeks resizing and reuploading old favorites. During that period I went through somewhat of a dry spell following the untimely passing of my grandfather. But since Christmas Eve, I've gotten quite a few quality pictures that I feel should be shared with the community. Pictures that...at least to me, speak to the heart and soul of this place, and problably humanity as a whole. But since then, the stars have definitely aligned themselves and given me some moments...

As always, really like comments, questions, and criticism. Although, I don't think anybody could get harder than my father as of late...

I know Pbase can be touchy with some of you. If you get X's, try refreshing a couple times. It seems to work for me.

As seen from Christmas. This really was my only Christmas present this year. These are street kids that I see quite often. They know I always bring water and candy out to town when I go. Christmas I had a bag full of it. But I drop it off on the other side of town from where they happened to find me with a woman who hands it out fairly and to those who need it most. They followed me and my buddy around for about an hour patiently waiting. My friend was busy shopping, and I was busy sitting around waiting for him just watching these two, quietly, and patiently wait. I was sitting down on an overturned bucket when she put her head up against her little brothers head. This shot...it just speaks volumes about everything that is Djibouti. One of my favotires.

This is Bob the kitten. Thankfully Bob stood still for 1/8 of a second. This is actually an honest shot. The only photoshopping was to lighten it up.

This is actually a very old picture from June of 2005.

I have found that a little trickery will get you places. They both thought I was taking a picture of the girl fuzzed out in the back. Got me that genuine gaze from the young one in the foreground, and an curious little shot.

Let me know how you all feel.

Great lighting. Some of those are National Geographic quality.
