forgot how beautiful eddie's version is. this song helped get methrough a really difficult period a couple years ago. something about the sadness here is universal, i think.
course im sure its even more powerful for abandoned female millworkers.

just that whole feeling of dreams leaking away as time goes on...the unfairness and burden of life sometimes. right now im working as a therapist in a university setting, and i just saw a student today who reminds me of this character...he's in collections for his student loan, can't do his work anymore, can't talk to his family....man.
