Plus makes new song available for download
Bright Eyes has confirmed details of a new album for 2007.
Conor Oberst will release 'Cassadaga' on April 9. The album was recorded New York, Los Angeles, Portland and Lincoln with musicians Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott along with guests M Ward, Gillian Welch and Janet Weiss of Sleater-Kinney.
"We're really wanting to be experimental with this one," said Oberst of the record. "Sort of folky and trippy and hopefully a little more cosmic."
As a taster fans can download new song 'Endless Entertainment' from the album sessions at http://thisisbrighteyes.com
The album will be preceded by single 'Four Winds' April 2.

Cassadaga is where I used to go turkey hunting. It is also where The Flaming Lips recorded At War With the Mystics. With that said, I am really looking forward to this album

i listened to a shitload of stuff 2 years ago when he came out with those 2 albums at the same time but i found very little that struck a chord with me. i also went back and tried to listen to his older stuff but still i just don't see what everyone loves so much about it. maybe i need to look at it from a different perspective to appreciate it but right now it's just not working for me.

for me, it is more the songwriting. I could pick out a handful of songs that sound like I could have been the subject of. conor's voice is an acquired taste. musically, there is some great music to be found along with some very simple compositions.
