I think I'm liking this matchup more after watching the Bears play today. Rex is likely to face more pressure with the likes of Grant and Smith charging at him--we'll see if he's finally figured out a way to handle pressure like that next week.

i think the bears offense matches up well against the saints, but i also think the saints can go up and down the field against the bears d right now. I think it will be a high scoring close game
The 9-7 team that's posing as a 13-3 team will fall. If Grossman plays well and the 'D steps it up, it'll be close, with Saints pulling out a 17-14 win or thereabouts. If Grossman has a game where he tosses more completions to the other team than his own, expect a 38-3 ish rout.
It's not that I hate the Bears. I simply believe they aren't as good as the Saints with the way Grossman is playing (save maybe today) and the way the defense hasn't been producing as much as they were before the last quarter of the year.

I for sure see your point, however, being on turf, that will surely slow down the saints speed, and being on the road doesnt help. I dont think anyone knows for sure what is going to happen. Grossman is too fickle, and their defense just bothers me. But remember, this is a saints team that almost lost to jeff garcia at home. Their defense is not very good.
That being said, if someone says "good rex" "bad rex" one more time i may just hurt someone......physically.

High scoring close game just like the last one,
27-24 would not be suprising.
I'm picking the Saints because of Drew Brees and Deuce McCallister.
The Bears are a more solid team all the way around except the QB position and it helps they play at Soldier Field, I just think the Saints edge out a close one.

i'm a Bears fan and really believe they will win this game. that being said, here are some thoughts:
-the Bears defense needs to show up ready to play Sunday. still, i think we will need to score at least 35 points to pull this off.
-getting a tough win against Seattle (even though we shoulda beaten them by much more) may have been the best thing to happen. we got the playoff losing streak off our back and were able to win a high-intensity game against a good team.
-i am hoping for some really bad weather. it will really make the home field advantage mean that much more for the Bears and will neutralize the saints' passing attack. and this also leads me to my next point...
-the bears need to run, run, run the damn ball. bad weather will force them to do this. but they need to control the clock and keep the saints' offense off the field.
-unless there are some really shady circumstances surrounding this game, if the saints win i would definitely root for them in the superbowl. that being said, i hope the bears beat their asses this week.

the bears defense really needs to step it up in this game and stop the number of offensive threats the saints have. if they can manage to stop or even slow the saints offense they will have a good chance of winning.
