What's the deal with three of Pearl Jam's members having residences in Nashville Tenn? Some kind of tax shelter? Do they have an income tax in Tennessee? I know alot of pro Atheletes keep residences in Florida even if they don't spend much time there for tax purposes.

well what comodity is commonly created in Nashville that would relate to Pearl Jam, a group of musicians. just throw that around the old noodle for a while.

I don't seem to recall them saying anything about living there back in '03. They did mention that they have a lot of friends that live there (i.e. Steve Earle, Cheetah Chrome).

The same three also have had a residence or business at some point in Santa Monica CA.

Jeff and Matt have no addresses in Nashville or Santa Monica, but the other three do.

yeah this is dumb, you have no proof they have anything to do with nashville... i mean why should we care anyways if they do, what do you want to go stalk them or something lame like that? i mean nashville is a music town im sure they have some good friends there and spend some time there during the year so its not too far fetched an idea that they would have a place to stay, i mean im sure they all have a few places around the globe.

Neither Jeff or Matt have California or Tennessee addresses.

All five band members have addresses in Bellevue WA, Im assuming that's their headquarters or their managers office or something.

Where do you live and why?

Before everyone goes off on some righteous Internet etiquette rant please note the purpose of my post was not to start "where's Eddie and Mike's house" thread.

I came across information that these three have connections to Nashville (someplace I've never been BTW..), having been a fan since '91 I've never read or heard of a connection of the band members to anything other than the West Coast.

I found Nashville to be quite odd as I do not see them as the "Country" kind of people; I posted the question because I thought it was some sort of commonly known connection that someone could explain.

I was doing some research into the music industry when I came across the info about Nashville, when I probed deeper I found out about Santa Monica.

I figured out the Santa Monica connection as it's the headquarters of Epic records, when they were under contract their checks probably were sent there from Sony which explains the connection. However im still confused as to why only three members have the connections.

The only thing I could come up with is that ED, Stone and Mike get the majority of writing residuals and rights because they pen most of the band's songs. Which explains their connection to Santa Monica (royalty checks) however the Nashville connection is still odd?

The only thing I can think of since it's a big music industry town that they have some sort of intellectual property attorney there, and they incorporated there to protect their intellectual property rights from somebody like Nissan using Evenflow to sell a pick-up.

I did not nor do not wish to start a "stalking" thread. I don't live in Nashville or Seattle. I was never in Tennessee; I was in Seattle 7 years ago.

Im curious about Pearl Jam's "business" affairs, not their home address or what type shampoo and conditioner Ed uses.
