Which song/feel in the entire PJ catalog, B-sides, rarities and all, would you choose as the direction you would like the band to go on for the next album. If you have a completely different idea that they've never tried, state that as well.

For me a PRESENT TENSE approach.

Something like Inside Job, but something that's so blantantly an attempt to be different. Gimme more music.

For example, I think Come Back would be even more amazing if there was an extended outro of solo and "ooos." I also think Parachutes would be amazing if there was more music before Ed starts singing and at the end of the song. I think it begins and ends too abruptly.

Summtin like that.

Just bring Dave A. back and let him write everything with Mike.

i say no code in that they should forget structure and conventions and just go for jams and silence/noise, and fucked up songs.

i have a feelin that if their next album is just 8-9 rock songs and 3-4 ballads/mid-tempo, i'm gonna give up on them. they need to bring something new

I'm afraid I might agree. I don't doubt there would be songs on there that I'd absolutely love, but I'd really love to see them put out some more challenging things like on the No Code - Yield - Binaural - Riot Act trek. Fuck I love those albums.

I agree they should continue where they left off after Riot Act instead of just the simple riffs on s/t

I want something like Vitalogy. A lot of attitude and a lot of experimentation. We're never going to have another Vitalogy, but something in the same vain would be awesome. A Vitalogy/Binaural hybrid would probably kill me.

I'd like to hear the techno music that ed said he wrote when he was on ecstasy.

I liked the contrast between stripped down punk influenced songs like comatose and the busy arrangement of World Wide Suicide.
