This cd is breathtaking. Michio is from Ghost fame, if anyone has heard of this guy. This cd has destroyed alot of the cd's from my list for 2006 already. I love the guitars on this cd, as it's unlike alot of stuff i'd normally listen to. Some of the stuff is kind of sludgy and distorted, similar to some of Boris' previous compositions. There is an extremely unique voice that really stands out. Especially on the song Shine, which is one of my favourites. There is just something special in his voice, but it seems to be love/hate for alot of people i've put it on for.

Wow dug up an old thread All of these posts I make about bands shuffle down many pages like hours after I make them. This cd is phenominal. The guitar solos are so emotive, if that makes sense.

Considerably more mellow and psychadelic than the usual Boris. Some of these guitar soundscapes are unlike anything else they've done. Michio adds a new dimension to their music.

No one would listen to this band if you still had to pay for music.
I doubt I'd listen to about 98% of the stuff I downloaded in the last 4 years

Do you never wish you could just go back to your Grunge innocence? When you swept your greasy Cobain hair out of your eyes you were able to see for the first time. But was it really a good thing? The rush of rocking out to "Alive" for the first time replaced by figuring out just how to pronounce the names of crazy hipsters from far away lands. What is it all for? Is it a better way to live?

I have to give this post a 10 for sincerity

What, that Boris will never be recognized like Alice in Chains even though they are probably the better band?

No, I mean do you yearn for a return to the time when music like Alice in Chains actually seemed exciting, or do you feel pity for people who are speaking of grunge also rans as though their music is still of the utmost relevance? Basically, are you happier now with the obscure Japanese indie metal, or do you still dream of those simpler times?

Interesting, never thought of it like that. I'd say I have a lot more options now, although I usually only end up listening to this stuff while I'm at my computer. I suppose I should buy an MP3 player.
