What am I missing from the Odelay era to now? What are your favorite Beck cuts that aren't on his albums? Didn't he do a bunch of songs for Nacho Libre? I think he's probably my favorite musician of the last 10 years.

Electric Music and the Summer People - Great Road Trip Song
Deadweight - From A Life Less Ordinary. What album era is that?
Ship in a Bottle - Sea Change's only B-side. Should replace Paper Tiger
Diamond in the Sleaze - The next 3 all would fit on Mutations nicely
Runners Dial Zero
One of These Days
Halo of Gold - 4 or 5 songs in 1. 4 or 5 awesome songs.
Midnite Vultures - Lengthy and pointless
Arabian Nights - Hilarious lines. Belongs on Midnite Vultures
Salt in the Wound - Better than almost all of Midnite Vultures
This is My Crew - Should be the first track on Midnite Vultures
Diamond Dogs - A Bowie song, I think.
I'm So Glad - Not my cup o tea.
Lemonade - Shitty
Clock - Good music, distorted vocals
Totally Confused - Great song
O Menina - The next 3 are Information B-sides. Don't know them well yet.
This Girl That I Know
Inside Out
Dirty Dirty - Midnite Vultures b-side. Should be too.
Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime - Eternal Sunshine. Maybe his best song.
Feather in Your Cap - Can't remember it, really.
Burro - Jackass in Spanish with a Mariachi band
Drivin' Nails in My Coffin - With Willie Nelson

the second version of ThunderPeel , the second (or first) version of Electric Music, uh... Diskobox?

Really, there are probably a good 15 studio tracks missing from your list. Maybe more.

I've got somewhere in the area of 400 beck non-album tracks on my ipod, but that includes concerts and many, many demo tapes and remixes. I'll take a look at my list tonight and find some stuff.

oh, and if you want to count other peoples songs from that era he shows up on, add about 40 songs to that. Seriously.

please tell me about these 15 songs. i'm not too interested in the songs he just plays and instrument on. i'm not even interested in songs he sings only a verse of, unless the song is top notch.

That would have been Stray Blues. good comp, but he's got those tracks already, I think.

I'll try and pull up a list tonight of some b-sides. my beck section is so damn unorganized these days.

Yea, if there's tons good non-album Beck stuff, I also wouldn't mind hearing about it.

You need:

Diamond Bollocks
000.000
Thunderpeel (1997 recording)
The little Drum machine Boy
Feather in Your Cap (7 inch version, different lyrics)
Cold Ass Fashion
Whiskey Can Can
Boyz (instrumental)
Erase The Sun
SA-5
Trouble All My Days (Pre-mellow gold, but first released widely on the Devil's haircut single)
Clap Hands
Chain Reaction
Send A Message to Her
Devil Got My Woman
Strange Invitation (Stripped down acoustic 'jack-ass')
Stagolee
Saxx Laws (Night Flight of Ojai) - Kenny G Style!
Zatyricon
Whichever version of Electric Music you don't have - is yours drum heavy? or does it have handclaps?
Diskobox
One of These Days
Black Balloon

That's all I can find for post-mellow Gold stuff right now, other than half a dozen beck.com tracks, most of which don't have official titles. Beck is a recording machine, man. He doesn't waste studio time.

Oh, and his version of Bowie's Diamond Dogs.

Really, I own over 20 beck singles, and I still occasionally find a new track.

okay, holy shit. first, one of these days is on my list of haves. i actually own the deluxe guero, so i don't even consider clap hands, chain reaction, or send a message to her as b-sides. isn't diamond bollocks the hidden track on mutations? you've written boyz is an instumental. aren't black balloon and zatyricon also instrumental? my electric music has hand claps. is the other version better? how many of these are remixes? i fucking hate guerolito, so i guess i'm not into remixes. i hope cold ass fashion is as cool as the title. i'm on it.

Cold Ass Fashion is great. I lost my copy when my ipod went crazy last month.

None of what I listed are remixes, though 2 are different versions of album songs. and yeah, diamond bollocks is the hidden track on many copies of mutations.

Nope. It's rock if he DID cover tom's song of the same name, though.
