Sounds like a proper autograph hunter, either that or he knows everyone!!

Must know PJ as they've signed so many things for him, looks dodgy though to me.

Unless I got them myself directly from the band (and even then...), I really don't see the use of autographs. That's just my opinion though.

I think you guys missed the point. The pictures are used to prove that the autograph is real. Usually the pictures will actually be of the person signing the item that's being sold.

not always the case. I got taken by a dude who sent me a picture of someone signing my item, then found out he was just using that one picture for every item he was selling, which he was selling 3 a week.

dont ever trust a picture. be careful is all.

Yeah, it's definitely not absolute proof. Personally I wouldn't buy autographs anyway, they don't have much meaning to me if I didn't get it myself.

But I was just pointing out that the guy wasn't throwing in the pictures of himself with Pearl Jam as an added bonus as some seemed to think..

Here's the word from Five Horizons:

Ask how the seller acquired the autograph. They may be a professional autograph hound (someone whose job it is to stand outside shows and wait for bands and get signatures; you can recognize them because everything is wrapped in plastic, they have 5 copies of each item, and they have about 12 pens just in case one runs out). They may have been a fan who got lucky but to whom the item no longer has any meaning. But you need to *ask*. If the story sounds bogus, then it's likely that the item is as well. A photograph of the seller with one of the guys means nothing, unless the photo clearly shows them signing the item being sold (and even then, professional autograph hounds have multiple things signed so it could be a photo from 5 years ago.)

Yeah I definitely reckon this guy is dodgy as hell, he even claims to have a drumstick signed by Dave, Jack and Matt!!

He's gotta be faking these, there's just too many, especially guitars signed by the whole band!

After shows I used to see people with drum heads and guitars and stuff just standing around back waiting to get them signed just for the purpose of selling the item. Alot of artist have started to take notice of people who do that and are refusing to sign items after shows unless the "look" and "feel" of the individual is that of an actual "fan" who is going to "cherish" the item sentimentally.

My guess is if the guy is legit (there's no proof pointing otherwise) is that he is high up on the chain at a major concert venue. That would really be one of the few ways i can think of to come into contact with that many musicians.
