newbie question time. how do i go about putting videos on my video ipod. say an avi or mpeg file.

It has to be a mp4 file. Google whatever form you have to mp4 and you can find a program or two.

Try torrent sites for illegal copies. also.

so what is everyone's fav program for this?

many thanks to the both of you. i did a google search for these programs as instructed and the options were endless, hence why i asked for specific info instead. if im gonna do something, i want to do it right the first time.
