Anyone know if that where Pearl Jam's origin myth is from? (eddie's grandma and hallucinogenic jam) Or did Ed throw that around lots back then?

he said that was made up in a recent interview "...and the rest was, utter bullshit..." :wink:

He has mentioned it in other early interviews too. This was most likely the first mention of it. (which is why he was almost laughing through it) He probable thought to himself that he'd be asked the meaning behind the name, and thought this up. Maybe the whole band had a laugh about it and decided to all go along with the story as well.
