And who played on the exact same day, same stage, same time, one year ago as PJ will next summer:

Bands:

For the moment only Pearl Jam, Muse & Chemical Brothers have been announced.

Muse headlines on Thursday, Pearl Jam on Friday, Chemical Brothers on Saturday. Muse & Chem Bros are both playing Werchter for the 5th time. You can tell how happy we all are to finally have PJ.

No others bands have been announced or have leaked that will play on the day Pearl Jam plays.

Rumoured bands:

Tool
Smashing Pumpkins
The Arcade Fire
Arctic Monkeys
Bjork
Incubus
Hot Chip
Lilly Allen
Air
Wolfmother
The Kooks
Bloc Party
Daft Punk
The Cult
...

Pre-sale starts 20 February.

Both weekendtickets & daytickets will be available. Don't worry, day tickets for any day never sold out within a day. Not for Coldplay day. Not for Metallica day. Not for the Peppers day. Not for Radiohead day.

However, I do suggest everyone to buy them on February 20, cause you never know... PJ's popularity in Belgium surprised me on many levels last year. But we all should be fine.

And I expect further information about the presale (prices, presale website, ...) to be announced with the next string of bands for the festival about mid February.

Barring any mishaps on the day tickets sale, I'll be there.

Question: how are we gonna get there from Nijmegen?

Question: I need to get to Brussels for my flight the next day. How do I get outta there?

Where do you want to sleep after the Nijmegen gig?
Where do you want to sleep after the Werchter gig?

I'm driving back home after Nijmegen (and eventual after party) and I would consider taking you with me and dropping you off in Brussels or Leuven (city nearest to the festival, there's a bus service from the Leuven station to the fetsival ground.)

I'm driving back home after Werchter and I would consider taking you with me and dropping you off in Brussels or wherever you wanna go.

A 4-day ticket will be around 130 euro I think. The poster can easily be found at not even half that price, right? And why can't you just buy a weekend ticket? I'm not really understanding this.

And I already have that poster, sorry.

There is a weekend ticket... how much is that?

Ok Ok I will sell that poster elsewhere and work for the rest of € (uff)

If I will have that money, i will go with 4 day ticket, to get as much of the festival as possible

I'll be going for the whole shebang. But I've no idea how to get to the place. Brecht, what would be the best place for me to fly to from Ireland? How would I get to the gig from the airport? Etc.

Are you going to the whole thing, Andy? I think Stu is considering going to it all as well. Allana and myself are staying for the whole festival too. And a mate of mine is 90% sure of going. It should be good craic.

Take a cheap flight to Charleroi (Brussels South as they like to call it). Take a train to Leuven via Brussel. And from that station, there's a bus service to the festival ground.

My only problem for a 4-day ticket is that I'll be in Nijmegen for the first day. Otherwise, I'd love to stay and my girlfriend wants at well.

Thanks man. Sounds simple enough. But then again I'm Irish, anything could happen. :?
