hey just a heads up.. i know we are all law abiding downloaders, but seems like it may not be wise to use utorrent anymore for any type of illegal downloads due to the owner of utorrent being sympathetic to the mpaa and such....
here's something i stumbled across on another forum:

I have no "official" source, but I've been putting pieces together. Someone on a message board I frequent said he d/l'd Borat. The next day he got an email from Comcast saying they knew he broke the law. I would send a link, but the thread got modded (for talk about an illegal d/l site... BULLSHIT!). Fortunately, I have it in my browser, so here you go...
Anyway, last weekend I was pretty buzzed, had some friends over, and I decided to download Borat. This was the first time I have ever downloaded a movie. This was on TorrentSpy...
Anyway, I received this in my e-mail today:

Soooo, upon further research, "BitTorrent" created by Bram Cohen, recently purchased the protocol, utorrent. IDK how or what or why, but apparently, he works with MPAA (collects checks from them somehow). Maybe it's because torrentspy is a "public" tracker, IDK. But I think something very suspicious is going on. The forums say to block something in utorrent that "should" not allow your IP to be tracked, but I'm not too sure about it.
If you can find anything, or figure something out, let me know. But I just wanted to give a heads up. Someone, MIGHT, be watching!
