I wonder what his chances are...he's a tad left of center. Maybe he can formally announce his campaign on O'Reilly.

It's hard to imagine someone that sarcastic speaking on the floor of the senate...on the other hand, it might be refreshing.

I've about had it with professional politicians.

Even though I think liberal economic policies are suffocating, and certainly Al would be part of that problem, I might vote for him just because it would be...interesting (I don't live in Minnesota, unfortunately).

Even Republicans like Stuart Smalley.

I read one of Al Franken's book for ze lulz once and was thoroughly unimpressed. Sure he makes O'Reilly and Hannity look like twits, but he looks like a twit himself in the process.

Franken's problem is that I can never tell when he's being serious and he's joking. It just comes out all jumbled. Dennis Miller has the same problem.

If he wins, the media will eat him alive. He'll say something stupid or inappropriate. He's a radio talk show host for crying out loud. I don't care who wins, so long as the Republitrons don't hold any power anymore. We the people should kill off that party and let another one rise in its place...but I digress... :li:

It will be interesting to see if he is backed by the Democratic Party of if he has to run as an Independent.
For some reason I don't see the DNC backing him....the candidates that won in '06 and gave control back to the Democrats leaned toward the center. Frankin might scare them off as being too far-left.
