I thought this would be a good thread to start debates and such about the band. It might have been done before so feel free to delete if that is the case. I'll start.

Binaural is the last great album the band has done.

I'll go next:

Binaural is good but terribly overrated in the PJ community.

too soon to tell for me. I hated Binaural when it came out. I almost gave up on PJ because of it. Then it grew on me. Now it sits firmly in the #4 slot of albums for me.

I loved S/T right off the bat...but I fear it won't have the staying power that binaural does. I'll get back to you in 2 or 3 years

on synergy is ever worse. it's probably my least favorite album, though it has some good songs.

Yellow Ledbetter is nothing but a Little Wing that never could.

Down a very unoriginal dull song and over-rated as a B-side.

Bold statements are not necessarily negative.

Go needs to be retired from shows until Ed remembers how to sing it and stops doing that weird vocal inflection thing on the "oh please don't go out on me...don't go on me (nowww)" and on "I swear I never took it for granted...just thought of it (nowwww)" holy crap that sucks

I really enjoy Riot Act and think it is vastly underrated by the universe.

The first statement is ridiculous. It's one of the most beautiful and affecting songs in their catalogue

I disagree with the second but it isn't crazy. I can see someone not liking down

This is basically the bitching thread.

Here's a bold statement.

People that think PJ tours the northeast too much are idiots. It their strongest and most loyal fan base. Some of the best shows over the last six years have occurred here.

I don't think the band plays the NE too much, it's that they don't play the midwest/south enough.
