It's only a week away. I think France will be favourites again this year with Ireland second. My outsider for the championship will be England. Those fuckers have a huge array of talent to pick from. Although their form, recently, has been poor, they've got a new coach and captain. Chances are that Jonny Wilkinson will be back at some stage as well. Ireland have a great chance, playing England and France at home in the new venue for rugby, Croke park. Here are the fixtures for the coming season:
Saturday 3rd February 2007
13:30 GMT Italy vs France Stadio Flaminio
16:00 GMT England vs Scotland Twickenham
Sunday 4th February 2007
15:00 GMT Wales vs Ireland Millennium Stadium
Saturday 10th February 2007
13:30 GMT England vs Italy Twickenham
15:30 GMT Scotland vs Wales Murrayfield
Sunday 11th February 2007
15:00 GMT Ireland vs France Croke Park
Saturday 24th February 2007
15:00 GMT Scotland vs Italy Murrayfield
17:30 GMT Ireland vs England Croke Park
20:00 GMT France vs Wales Stade de France
Saturday 10th March 2007
13:30 GMT Scotland vs Ireland Murrayfield
15:30 GMT Italy vs Wales Stadio Flaminio
Sunday 11th March 2007
15:00 GMT England vs France Twickenham
Saturday 17th March 2007

Ireland to win it, i'll bet you guys any amount. Ireland and France are the only teams I see causing any sort of problems for the AB's at the World Cup. Forget Jonny and forget England, they're also rans. Jonny hasn't played for his country since he dropped that famous goal, and he won't improve on that moment.

I always liked you Deano.
If we don't win it this year... the loss of Shane Horgan is a big disappointment.

Hickie. Brennan could come in handy though if any of the English supporters get lippy (or disrespectful like Martin Fuckhead Johnson)

English rugby is so boring and pedantic, and they have no fire or enterprise. Italy are imrpoving but will never really challenge. On their day, Wales can take anyone to pieces, but they are too inconsistent. The scots are the same, just not as destructive but will take you on upfront. France could either Grand Slam it or Wooden Spoon it, but have a killer backline, but NEED a #10. Ireland are the strongest overall, but not the strongest individuals.
1. Ireland
2. France
3. Wales
4. England
5. Scotland
6. Italy.

What I wouldn't give to be at Lansdowne Rd when they win the 6 Nations. Been past it on the train once, what a sight.
Haven't you heard Deano, Landsdowne is being redeveloped so the football and rugby teams had to beg the GAA to play at Croke Park. As you may or may not know the GAA is nationalist to the core and has always seen football and rugby as foreign sports. So you can imagine allowing the other codes to play was a really big deal and took a whole lot of persuasion over many many months. When God Save the Queen is played, there will be men and women turning in their graves and some living may go to their graves. Personally I think it is time to move on from all that. Croke Park is one of the finest stadia in Europe and is a credit the GAA which is an amateur organisation but cash laden. Whether it will be able to reproduce a Landsdowne roar we will have to wait and see.

I've just noticed that Ireland's last game is on St Patrick's day. Holy fuck, if Ireland win it on that day there'll be no work for a week.
I've been given special leave by the wife to attend these games, at the pub. i don't think she realises how many or how often they take place.
Holy fuck is right. The whole country will go ballistic and add in the usual St. Patrick's Day drink and debauchery; the whole world will hear the aftermath. Babies will be conceived, vomit production will hit new highs, extra Gardai will have to be called in to get people to go to work.
But all that hinges on tomorrow in my book. I fear all the country's hopes could be dashed before we really even get going.

Half time. Scums.. sorry, England 17 - Scotland 10. I don't think any of these two teams will count when it comes to the title.
Can someone answer me this. Why do the BBC still employ Brian Moore? The man is the most biased and useless commentator I've ever had the displeasure of listening to. He's so wrapped up in England he forgets there are 2 teams on the field. Cunt. I'd love to see wilkinson take a hard hit, I do believe Mr. Moore would simultaneously have kittens and shit his pants. BTW, I've nothing against JW, I wouldn't want him hurt, just aching a lot.
