Nobel Peace Limbaugh

>>Conservative Talk Show Host Nominated For 2007 Nobel Peace Prize

(Leesburg, VA) -- Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. In putting forth his name, the Landmark Legal Foundation cited Limbaugh's "nearly two decades to tireless efforts" to promote liberty, equality and opportunity for everyone. Limbaugh's daily radio show is heard by more than 20-million people on more than 600 radio station in the U.S. and around the world. Landmark President Mark Levin calls the talk show host the "foremost advocate for freedom and democracy in the world today." The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded yearly and includes a cash award of approximately one-point-six-million-dollars. As the winner, Limbaugh would also deliver the keynote lecture at the awards ceremony. Vice President Al Gore was nominated for the same award yesterday for his work in brining awareness about global warming.

Rush is on the board of the group that nominated him.

Gore was nominated by two members (a conservative and a liberal) of the Swedish Parliament.

How does a group become eligible to nominate someone for the NPP? Also, do you think this was a reaction to Gore's nomination PD??

[/img]I don't know if Rush is on the board but Mark Levin works at ABC Radio with Rush so there's the connection. Insiders say Levin did it to devalue Gore's nomination

This has to be a practical joke, right

If you read the reasons as to why he's nominated, it's more for promoting equality, freedom, liberty, pursuit of happiness. Things such as that. Doing it globally and in a non-discriminatory fashion.

Do I want him to get it? Fuck no. Do I think he deserves it? No, he sits behind a fucking microphone. Are his ideals worthy of it? I think so, but actions should mean more than words and ideals professed to others. I don't think Rush has really done a lot to promote "peace" though so to speak.

Nor does Gore deserve it. What the fuck did he do to warrant it?

The Nobel Peace Prize is a sham anyway. Any peace prize that's handed out to terrorists is a sham.

So, everyone is stupid and childish all the time everywhere, uh.
I like how humans are gonna disappear without ever reaching some sort of wisdom. We have sucked, we suck, and we will suck until we destroy ourselves and everything else, which should come soon anyway.

this guy is the biggest joke in the country. i'm not sure if my dad still listens to him, but he did for years and my dad pretty much got brainwashed by him. for years he hated liberals and he'd even be an ass to my mom who is an art teacher (i.e. satanic liberal). it seriously almost ruined my family. he's still brainwashed and crazy. he thinks global warming doesn't exist and makes jokes about it to me sometimes when he's drunk and i just ignore it.

sometimes when i'm driving around i'll put limbaugh on just to see what he's saying. this guy is a complete fraud. first, i'll say that i'm a moderate republican. i think i'm more of an independent now. but anyways, limbaugh will make these outrageous claims and then back it up with all this false evidence that his uneducated dumbass listeners will think makes sense.

here's an example: rush claimed that there's actually more acreage of forest in america now than in the 1700's. some newspaper or website called him out on this and gave data showing that theres actually 100 to 200 million square acres less of forest (forget exact number). then limbaugh responded by using all this irrelevant data about how forest acreage has increased since the 1920's by X percent. a normal person will say, so what? what does that have to do with the acreage in the 1700s. but his brainwashed wacko listeners will think it makes sense and say, yes see he's right acreage has increased!

:ends rant:
