I fucking love this band. Sound like Black Sabbath playing Metallica/Slayer covers. It is awesome heavy rock play with no pretention and lots of heart.

I've seen them live, they rocked out, it was pretty good.

I am thinking of buying their new album.

Are they like wolfmother just a rehash band?

I really did not care for wolfmother and i'm scared they are similar can someone convince me to give them a chance?

:) thanks

yeh they're pretty good. although the singing sounds a bit weak at times. If they had a vocaliast like Matt Pike from High on Fire they would be great!

If you guys like The Sword, check out Early Man... similar kind of style/band.

I can't get past the singer on early man i don't like his vocals, but war eagle is a cool song.

I picked Age of Winters so far it is okay.

Just what i feared though all i hear is sabbath. i mean there is one song that has the children of the grave breakdown and another that has the little drum/symbol sound from war pigs. The singer seems to pronuciate like ozzy.... :(

that is the bad the good is that they do jam hard though and maybe in time i can overcome the Sabbath comparisons. They remind me of Sheavy who ripped Sabbath off really bad.

Yeah I wouldn't call them amazing or anything, but great to rock out to. If you ever tire of the Sabbath then they're not bad, and it was great to see them open for ToD rather than an elevator music band.

I picked this up the other day and i'm really enjoying it. Yeah they wear their sabbath influence on their sleeve but they do it quite well. As far as throwback bands go, these guys are about 20x better than Wolfmother.
