The Heels just signed the best DT in the country. They're having a solid day. Looks like Butch is already making an impact.

Fuck, he was FSU's to lose. I am bitter about this situation. I hope it works out well for him. He had developed a great report with are DL coach and was in the bag, hell of a talent.

I saw that he was considered to be the best defensive player in the country (at least one of the top 3).

Texas is bringing in another very solid class. Particularly strong along the o-line and in the secondary, which were two areas of need. Christian Scott was a nice late pickup. Here's the current rivals rankings.

He's the number one Defensive player by a mile. Only way anyone else can even close to him would be player that is your friend and therefore you're bias as a result.

USC's depth chart has got to have 6-7 RBs...all great players too. Why would you go somewhere where you probably won't play?

Yeah, they didn't do much for the slow defense though and they'll still get built up before the season and then lose to every good team they face and get crushed in the bowl game.

Nice to see Nebraska up there. Missouri is sitting pretty well at around the 30 spot as well. :D

Earlier today a DC radio station erroneously reported that he was going to UVa instead. Hilarity ensued for non-Hoos.

Yeah, they've been covering this in the Chicago Tribune. Some of it involves openly recruiting and courting players who have already verbally committed . . . It's one thing to be persistent, but it's quite another when you're so open about it.

I don't see what's wrong about that though. Some guys commit pretty early, some even before their senior season of high school. A lot can happen in the time leading up to signing day, so why not go after guys who may have already committed?
