I'm thinking seriously of going there. Venice is accessible from Greece by ferry. And after the PJ day I will go to Malpensa Airport (Milan) to catch a flight for London.

Of the people I've met back in November, Em. Jason. Me. Linc. Leigh. Charlie. There's Tanya, who I didn't meet then but have since. I may have forgotten others. Saw 'Wash' Amy during November but didn't say hi to her- she's going along. Einat who came in for the tour is going, but she's not an Aussie.

that's strange?
I have purchased without a problem (UK card), so has a friend in Norway.
we both received a notification of shipping today so it went through.

what type of card are you trying to use?
if you're unclear on some italian stuff (their english version is full of holes), I recommend the gtranslate extension in Firefox...this is a lifesaver for foreign language sites!

No, I'm sure that I've done everything right!
My card is OK, and I tried to purchase with the help of my sister who knows Italian.
Their site has problem, I heard complaints about it from other persons also

They ship as log as possible? That's good I have to admit!

I have tried 6 times...I dont know what's going wrong, but I'm 99.9% sure that is their fault.

are you trying to have it sent to you or are you trying to pick it up at the venue.

pick it up at the venue. Because if you want to have it mailed to your address you have to pay 20 euros for express courier

I saw in the news that there was a terrible wind and hailstorm at the festival with a number of people hurt and towers collapsing.

It seems that the festival would be cancelled, does anyone know for sure?

that would be very bad news! I hope not, haven't heard or read anything about it yet..

update, this was just posted to Bugs by a very nice and wise girl who's a reliable source, so it's true  :

Quote:
a tornado has hit mestre (venezia) an hour ago....apparently some of the
towers sidestage crashed and some were injured. ambulances all over the
palce and the concert is canceled--

i don't know who was there, I left very late from work and I was warned by a
friend, so we waited to leave for the show to see if things were going on
and in the end we heard about the cancellation....

groetjes,
Mirella :)
