Anyone heard this? I got the CD single on a chance random visit at my friend's University student union from a charity shop for 50p (about a dollar). It has a single and LP version.

PJ with Victoria Williams is on the No Fucking Messiah bootleg. I'm not particularly keen on that version though.

The first two times PJ did Crazy Mary live they actually sang it with Victoria Williams (9/6/93 & 11/17/93) I have heard a recording of at that and I was not impressed with her voice. Thats why I never tried to find her version.

Victoria Williams wrote it, I'd say that makes it a cover.

The studio version seems ok. She sings it kind of differently.
She also recorded her version AFTER PJ did their version.
I did not know that. is that the case with everything on sweet relief, or just crazy mary?

Can someone point me in the direction of an MP3 of the original version from Sweet Relief. I've not heard it in many years. Would take me back to being 14.

You could download the whole album from Soulseek, for instance.

him too.
Elton John writes virtually all of his own music, Taupin (and others) usually write the lyrics. Are we going to start calling "Pilate" a cover, too, because Ed didn't write the words?
