To Her

I never told you I loved you
I'm not even sure you do
I never even told you I liked you
This has been haunting me through and through

I lived next door for years
I felt we had a good connection
I was blind to all the little things you said
I never took note of your now so obvious affection

Just before the last term was over
We were talking about your dad
He shared a name with a guy we knew
Then all of a sudden you said you were sad

I never noticed it then
But I sure think about it now
You tried to reach out to me
And I didn't even raise a brow

Now you're with someone new
And I'm fine with that
I'm sure you deserve better than me
An empty shell that's easily cracked

It's from 2003, so I'm ok. I just found this one again.
