"I haven't received any phone calls from anyone in Soundgarden about a reunion since we broke up, nor have I called anyone. We were happy with how it ended. There was no unfinished business.
Soundgarden wasn't a band where we broke up and everyone was like, 'I'm never fucking talking to you again.' It wasn't like that. We've all talked to each other many times since then. Its something we don't feel we need to do."

I seriously doubt Matt would just pick up and leave Pearl Jam for a Soundgarden reunion. He would work out Soundgarden shows around PJ's schedule. PJ is ten times bigger than soundgarden. and since 1998 he has played bigger and better shows than anything he did with soundgarden. he isnt walking away from this.

although right now Chris Cornell is certainly more mainstream than PJ.

Considering how destoyed Chris Cornell's vocal range is, I hope they never get back together.
I agree with this statement but Cornell can still make great studio tracks. He just has no business singing in a live setting. I love Audioslave and all three of their albums but that doesn't mean he would sound good back with Soundgarden.

honestly...i think that if, in the next five years or so, they decide to get back together then they will...but it would be if, and only if, PJ broke up or for some ungodly reason that would have to be a really fucking good one (cause we all know how much ed loves matt) he got fired...
well, actually...i dunno how SG feels about matt...i dont know who they would get to drum for him if they couldnt get him though, ya know?
it would be nice to hear something good from chris cornell though as opposed to revelations. that album blows.
