Just so you guys know, I doubt Hinny was referring to Lawrence Taylor.

I like the LDT abbreviation a lot better, even though Taylor himself did give him "permission" to use the LT moniker.

Sad to see. There was a really good article about Tomlinson's hometown in Texas somewhere (NYT?) during the playoffs this year and his father came across as a real down-to-earth guy, still living in the same land that his family has had for generations.

not to be a downer but the reason his dad lived a spartan lifestyle in Waco is because he was a raging alcoholic who refused any help - i think he and LT were pretty much completely estranged.
