So it's ok to jack up the price on items for a good cause?
But if I wanted to sell my Pearl Jam items to help pay for school or bills I would be kicked out of the tenclub and ostrasized by diehard message board fans.

I wouldn't ostrasize you. Do whatever you want to with your stuff, just don't let the 10C find out

Yeah, there's really no difference in dicking over your fellow fans for a little cash and offering a sweet prize to encourage someone to donate money to sick, starving, and homeless victims.

What I don't understand is how the 10C can have anything to say about what you do with YOUR PROPERTY ?
Once you bought the product its you right to do WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH IT.
Thats why I don't get the assholes that give peope shit about the stuff they sell on ebay or anywhere else.
I know as a member of the ten club I have never signed anything saying I will not resell item bought, did any of you ?
I haven't sold any PJ stuff (I'm a collector) but if somehting happed & I needed to raise some quick cash I wouldn't think twice about selling stuff I got, because.... I OWN IT. IT IS MINE !

How dare you board members allow this?
Can we ban the Ten Club from the forum?
I'm not saying it's not a good thing to donate money to these people. It's just funny how everyone is anti-ebay until it goes to a good cause or benefits them. But if I sold something on ebay because I needed to buy books for school or something everyone would jump my bones and call me an asshole.
Plus I don't see it as dicking anyone over if they are willing to pay for it. Also who's to say that I don't need the money for my own good cause? I guess it's nobody's business but my own on what I sell or buy unless it interferes with copyright infringement.

No, if you sell the item and give the money to the 10C they don't care.
I asked if I could get my Benayora autographed to sell for charity and they never got back to me, the bastards.

The difference is concert tickets, which are not really the same as goods like cd's or vinyl, as they are usually very limited and often get into the hands of people only out for profit (not for charity).
They call selling concert tix SCALPING for a reason. It's not the same as you putting up a 1992 Xmas single for $100 due the rarity factor.

I agree with Cartman, ya know its like all these people at my high school when Pat Tillman died. They are all, "im gonna get a Pat Tillman jersey" and stuff and im saying, you know how many people died over there yet because they werent "famous" you dont give two shits about them. Dont get me wrong, I hope everything with the tsunami works out in the best way possible, but who are we kidding, there are just as many needy families in this country. And to the guy who said "dicking over fans for money", you have no fucking clue what people need to sell their shit for and just be brutaly honest, my father and mother have cancer and will both be out of work for 2 months and if sold something for a high price to buy grocerys for my family and you told me I was "dicking" someone over thatd be ridiculous. Dont pass judgements on people, especially for something like selling on ebay....you sell you shit to make money or else whats the point, no?
