Curious as to how many on the board might believe in the possibility of ghosts.....

I've never had an encounter with a ghost so I can't say I believe in them...that may change though. Ghosts are cool.

I have a three-eyed, green guwanaweelawop on my shoulders.

Prove that it is not there.

I've had friends with photos they've taken with unexplainable figures appearing in mirrors or the like. I've never fully bought into the ghost theory, but it was sure hard to explain what the hell was in their pictures.

unexplained phenoms or our overly exercised imaginations?

I am not trying to push "ghosts"....am just intrigued by the whole phenomenon. Is it all just bullshit?

Just as I can't say there aren't any aliens, I can't say there aren't any ghosts. It seems possible I'm sure to many religious people, since they already can have those leaps of faith on other levels.

The religious people i know (family included) can't quite come to terms with the possibility of ghosts....it doesn't go along with their beliefs.

Are we the only beings out there?

I didn't mean any harm on this. I was just saying something that could not be proven or disproven.

Kind of like ghosts!

I remember when I first read about String Theory I considered that perhaps lapses in the spaces between two alternate realities might cause such an assumed event, but it doesn't hold up. Turns out that, when I thought that, I knew jack fucking shit about the theory. I doubt ghosts are real, except during those times when I'm all alone and freaked out. 8)

I believe in ghosts.

Check out this picture. Look in the upper left corner. If you don't see it immediately, keep looking. The first time I saw this, I had to stare at it for about 30 seconds, but then I saw it.

If that's one of those delayed scare-you-so-you-poop-all-over-the-living-room pictures, I'll tear your left testicle off like a jilted lover.

Exactly.
It's not falsifiable, so no one can disprove it.
Personally I do not believe in ghosts. We've had plenty of time, as a species, to prove they are real. It just doesn't make any sense as a theory, I know there are plenty of things we don't understand but the existence of a 'ghost' is just impossible imo.
