Rarely does a Daily Show segment hit the nail on the head as well as this one: http://www.comedycentral.com/mp/play.jh ... 10007.html

Don't know if it warrants it's own thread, but you be the judge.

The Bush in 2000 vs. Bush in 2003 Debate, and the Cheney's Pants on Fire, are the only two that come close. Oh and Common Wisdom, goddamn that was some good journalism. The Daily Show: Where Fake News is More Real then Real News...um, sometimes...

Great segment from The Daily Show, as always. So very true.

Jon Stewart is a sexy bitch, baby.

It sucks that this is what the world has come to, but damn if TDS isn't your best shot at honesty. At least when they're messing with you, they tell you.

Wouldn't it be nice to see some actual news....and let us form our own conclusions instead of being force fed opinions?

I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crises. The great point is to bring them the real facts.

now its just entertainment and the boss's opinion on your nightly news. you have to go outside the states for decent journalism.

Uhh....Lincoln was a huge supporter of the idea that, during time of "national crisis," it was perfectly acceptable for government (and president in particular) to forgo those rights set aside by Constitution or otherwise.

And he did just that.

Don't forget the other fake and misleading news outlets CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC.

News built out of lies and deception.

Yea, about fake news, it irritates me that the local Fox Station suggests that "it's not just news, It's Tampa Bay Fox 13 news."

Why can't we get just the news with no bias?

God bless,

Jared

That daily show episode was hilarious (and I happen to agree with the equation).

I liked the guy throwing the "metal object" at the fox news anchor in front of his house too. That was freakin great!

What made it even better was the inordinate amount of pleasure Jon Stewart got from that clip. Each consecutive time it was shown, I laughed more than the previous one.
