I've looked at the few threads about the song...and it was mostly related to getting the song, not the story behind it...is there no info on when it was recorded or why they only played it 3 times?

It's in my top 5 pearl jam songs of all time...but there seems to be no info on it besided that it was played live 3 times :(

I like Last Soldier, but I think I'm in the minority since I don't love it.

Saying No is the definition of an all out improv. Not much going on by Ed mumbling and howling and chanting about date rape.

its a fucking shame that mccready took falling down to the rockfords and pj didnt record or release their version. So fucking good.

last soldier is great, mike wrote most of it and if im not mistaken ed either wrote the chorus or the verse and mike wrote the other part.

the best "improv" is "words seem out of place" from melbourne 95 though

check out the link in my signature and follow it.

it'll take you to a page where you can follow another link to download some shows. follow that link and go find '95 Red Rocks II. download the first link for that show and Falling Down will be around song # 7. it's SO GOOD
