Just heard the PJ live version on the independent station here in Phoenix. They are doing a weekend of covers and playing the original right after. Thought it was pretty cool to hear that on the radio

been there, done that...a few times

seriously though, i heard this a long time ago, but what do you think when a casual pj fan hears them doing this song? i think its probly the best cover they've ever done. i still remember my parents being impressed it when i played it for them when i was a kid. eddie really nails it. i have to listen to this now.

I would agree that Ed dead-on nails it. It may just be their best cover but never gets talked about with the rest because they only did it once

yeah i know what you mean, but it will always hold a special place in my heart. i first heard it at a time when pj were like gods to me, i must have been like 10 or 11. i never even heard the original at the time but it was my parents who told me it was an old song. it was really cool hearing them say that they dug it too.

I've never heard it on the radio, but I was there when they did it. Steve Cropper kicks ass.

Gets me everytime.

What's it like to live in a town with an independent radio station let alone one that'll actually play "Dock of the Bay" and other such rarities? Must be nice. Is it nice?

PS...I too have a parent that loves this cover.

Small lyrical flubs aside :!: Dock of the Bay may be the best cover they've done, and good for Ed (assuming it's Ed) for being able to whistle at the end, lord knows I've tried :x
