Its possible. With the election soon, Eddie can get all political and whatnot. They got only a few shows and a Euro tour this year, so maybe they can get recording later this year?
Ah, I can dream. I just don't want them to end up like U2, recording an album every 4 years. Ack.

Why not in 2007? The year is still young

Seriously dude. First album in FOUR years? What's that crap about?
As a U2 fan, its the sad reality I face with them. Pop was in 1997, ATYCLB was 2000, 'Atomic Bomb was 2004, and the new one will probably be out in 2008. I really don't want Pearl Jam to end up like that.
IF and thats a big IF, they come out with something between now and '08, itll almost definetly be politically charged. The only reason I think this is even a remote possibility is because of all the songs left over from s/t.
I'm looking forward to a PJ release after a dem is in office, and maybe Ed has fewer political complaints. I don't mind the occasional political rant song, but I much prefer the introspective Ed to the politically motivated one.

i really hope not.
If it means new PJ and another tour (Which they didn't even come close to me area) then I won't care.
yeah thats a good point, id put up w/ most things to see them live. plus, his political rants provide a good opportunity to converse w/ the cute girls around you

ho boy...
I say that purely from a standpoint of hoping for a less political Ed.

I really do believe we will get a new Pearl Jam album in 2008.
I keep wondering why we never got a single b-side out of Avocado, and i believe its because they are holding on to some of the better tracks for the next album.
The band seemed to enjoy doing a bit of touring during the recording of Avocado (The Canada tour of 05)...maybe that's what they are doing with this Summers Europe tour? Do a bit of recording in the spring/early summer and get back together in the Fall to finalize a new album to come out on the spring of 2008?

Fuck that. I want a Pearl Jam album THIS YEAR.
If we wait until 2008, that'll be the standard 2-year gap. Big deal. That doesn't make up for lost time whatsoever.
I'm beginning to think this band tours a little too much. I know touring is fun and brings home the bacon, but they're still have an obligation to put out new material every now and then.

I would much rather they do about 20 shows a year then not tour at all for 3 years.
