i thought maybe we can try this one again. ill take the eagles. better qb, better defense, better coaching staff. unless mcnabb has a day like favre had this year against minn. i say the birds win this one. should be a good game, but i say the eagles by 7-10.
so like ive been saying the past 3 years, the eagles will win the nfc championship.

or the Falcons feeling slighted that no one gave them a snowballs chance from the beginning of the season pull off a Detroit Pistons like playoffs beat the Eagles and go to the Superbowl.

i didnt think the falcons were slighted, did you? most of the talk i heard during the pre-seaon had the eagles, falcons and seahawks at the top of the nfc.

I remember the Seahawks and the Eagles but no one picked the Falcons, entirely new coaches, new system on both sides of the ball, no one, all year has picked the Falcons to do anything. 5' 9" Jason Webster as one corner rookie 5'10" corner Deangelo Hall on the other, 2nd year player Bryan Scott at SS and the decent but not amazing Cory Hall at FS.
Undersized defensive line, solid but average linebackers.
a very small and very pourous offensive line, undersized starting running back and a QB that throws a lot of bad interceptions
The falcons don't look impressive at all on paper.
Somehow they manage to win and win and win repeatedly. Whenever they are talked about in the media the only games mentioned are the 2 large losses and the fact that they give up a lot of yards. Yeah they win ugly, but they win.
with the history of losing that we have here it's nice to have a coaching staff that emphasises not getting too low or too high, they play hard, every down, win or lose, Michael Vick and the coaching staff inspires the confidence to be able to come back from nearly any situation or deficit. That's what I like about this years Falcons.

I think the Falcons have a great chance of winning this game, and I think part of what is overlooked is their defense. They are, of course, great on offense, but their defense is much improved this year.
The Eagles are great, but this should be a good game.

Good thread kids, keep it going.
My prediction:
PHILLY GETS OVER THE HUMP
I thought my other thread was fine. Face it, there's going to be shit talk in any Eagles related thread because some people can't come to terms that they are a very good football team.

i want Philly to win but am scared of TJ Duckett pounding the ball against their defense...I think they'll contain Vick but Atlanta is going to copy what the Panthers did last year and try to make it into a low-scoring streetfight.
Falcons = my only hope... you know, I should just root for the Pats and the Iggles, because this is a carbon copy of the 2003 baseball playoffs...
Red Sox vs. Yankees
Marlins vs. Cubs
Of course I want to see the Sox and the Cubbies in the series... I hate the Yankees, and the Marlins? Who the hell roots for the Marlins? But what happens... Yankees Marlins in the WS and I didn't watch one second of it...
Now we have the much maligned Steelers who haven't won anything since the 70's and the Falcons who have NEVER won anything, and because God hates me both will lose... yay... if the Patriots and Eagles win the best I can hope for is that Jacksonville will explode

They lost to John Elway in the 1999 superbowl
Yeah I knew all that, but in the end, nothing matters unless you have that Super Bowl banner
