I must admit, for years this was one of my least favorite PJ songs, but I have recently been listening to the 1996 shows (in order), and it seems like it gets better and better every show. It is one of the few songs in their catalog that has never been played post 2000 and the official bootleg era. I for one would like to see this one come back. Is there a story/reason why this song has dropped out of the live rotation?

I would challenge anyone to listen to some of the Euro 96 shows, and still tell me that it blows. I used to think the same thing, until just recently.

I love this song and when I was collecting '96 shows I would make sure that the first shows I got had Who You Are on it.

i'm not sure how that link proves the fact that they haven't played it because of Jack's departure.

Yeah, I don't get it either. I don't think him writing part of the song has much to do with it.

i dont think its because he wrote part of it, i think its the unique drumming style (see: the new, crappy version if In My Tree).

i think he means it shows that it was played a lot in '96 and was played in the few shows irons played with the band in '98, but never played without, our pal, jackie irons.

Maybe it doesn't have so much to do with not having jack, but matt just hasn't learned it the band hasn't wanted to play it or felt the desire to bring it up.

That's probably the case, kinda like they ditched No Way and W.M.A.

they haven't even attempted it though, without Jack.

that is to say, they at least tried No Way with Matt (Atl '98 ), but Who You Are has been out of the rotation since Jack left

I'd take this song live over 10/11 of Ten and 3/4 of Vs.' songs any day of the fucking week.
