Listening to George Harrison's "I Live for You" may make you think otherwise.

I'm going with bagpipes on this one.

worked pretty well in stairway to heaven

i think acoustic guitars with piezo pick ups, especially on dave mathews bootlegs.

i'm not a big fan of computer voices like on radiohead fitter happier... that can be abusive to the listener if used poorly

but one thing that'll never get annoying is gunshots in rap beats! that's awesome! :o

What the hell, I love bagpipes.

The most annoying sound on albums is probably samples of children talking or making noise.

But the most annoying instrument ever is the crash cymbal.

I hate them all, without exception.

well there's a difference between how a band with talent like floyd, the eels, or bright eyes uses it vs some jerk off country artist

also can i say harmonizing guitar solo's 90% of the time, sound completely lame... especially in metal

then slap bass can be like knives to the heart, especially in college and high school funk and jam bands
