Even the boy bands of the 90s had their moments. Most of the time, pop music is created so that people can have fun while listening to it. there's hardly anything offensive about that.

I just get offended when people try to tell me that its actually "good" music. Fine, like it, have fun to it, but dont tell me its good music.

Truthfully, it's probably requires as much, if not more musicianship than most of the music you listen to.

Well thats completely personal opinon...

i personally dont think it takes talent to write the same song over ando ver and keep using the same formula.

Like i said...i have my guilty pleasures..and if its a good song, its agood song.

Il lbring sexy back any time of the day, you know it.

Well its completley subjective and "pop" music is such a broad stroke, so we should bring it down to a couple artists here. Does justin timerblake have talent? absolutely he does. Do i think nickelback have talent? no. Do the chilli peppers maximizie their talent anymore? no, they keep writing the same song over and over. does outkast have talents? absolutely. Does every radio ready heavy metal hard rock band sound the same to me? very much so.

good point, and in many ways true. however, musicianship is one thing, a whole other is musicianship coupled with creativity and imagination, which most pop music lacks sadly. then again, it's pop music so it def has a different purpose.

Actually, I didn't mean to use the word "pop" and I intended to be broad with regards to popular music. Think top 40, which obviously involves a variety of genres.

Well it definitely has its purpose. i can only handle so much of it whilst out at a bar. i think whoever said that it lacks any creativity or imagination is dead on. This is why it ends up annoying the shit out of me.

That's a pretty retarded post you put here, friend.

All good things come to an end - Nelly Furtado is a much better song than at least 12 songs on Avocado.
