Eh, they try to. Cincinnati and Pittsburgh are the closest so the local news always shows highlights for those teams and the papers tend to cover stories on them pretty regularly.
I think if you live in a state like WV then you should be allowed to root for whoever you want w/out getting shit about it.
i hate every team in NY. i don;t give a fuck if i live here or not.

I have a problem with people rooting for teams they have no connection to. My family is from Kansas City. I've been going to Royals and Chiefs games for 22 years. As far as college sports go, I was born in Oklahoma, so.... go Sonners. There is not a NBA team for 500 miles. I like NBA. I have a favorite team. I'm a Heat fan. However, when they won the title last year, I was happy, but it wasn't anything like I would feel if the Chiefs or Royals ever won it all. I don't care what anyonr says. It's not the same without some emotional connection.
