Lets face it, the guys have too many shows, too many songs in a night, and they're gettin too damn old to play with the energy they used to. Just compare 1992 Ed to 2006 Ed. After seeing the 2-3 hour shows which have been the best times of my life I think I would now rather them play less songs and have the energy they played with back in the day. Anyone else??
The band has matured, maybe you should too. Do you really want to see Ed swinging from the rafters again? I don't. I love how they can transition from old stuff to new stuff seamlessly.

Yes I would love to see him hanging from the rafters again! and that little maturity comment was a bit immature. Sometimes I love the big talk done by little men behind the computer screen.

They are in their 40's. I am 34 and certainly can't or don't want to act like I did when I was 24.
Being older now I also look back and am thankful we had those times, but definitely prefer there performances now. They matured, but still bring incredible energy. Just in a different way.
Plus since 96 Ed has been pretty much the same guy on stage, probably even before that.

I like the shows the way they've been since I first saw them ('98). I don't need those young man theatrics to enjoy the show; they still kick out great fucking music and that's all I'm concerned about to get my money's worth.

No doubt they still rock better than anyone but just watching some old boots I sure do miss the old days. Guess just miss those memories. It was something to see.

You're 25? Did you go to shows when you were 10?
Actually went to Lollapalooza Cincy when I was eleven
