What was the Pearl jam song that got you into well, Pearl Jam.
For me it was Alive. My father of 30 odd at the time loved this song, and imported the single from America, (couldnt find the copy in Melbourne, he aint the brightest person musically...) and I was about 6 or 7. That single and Pink Floyd was all we would listen to in the car, and at home, at night. It has always been in my head.
Around 8 years later, when I was finding my feet so to speak in music, and the styles of music, I stumbled accross this old single that my dad had, and I put it on. I fell in love with it once again. I then say the album Ten for $10 at a music store, and bought it, and the rest they say is history.

Alive as well. Late 91. I heard it on the radio, bought Ten a few days later, brought it up to my room and immediately skipped to that song. My dad walked in and gave me a thumbs down. I knew I was on to something.

Daughter, when the drum and bass came in, when my brother made me a ten and versus tape between versus and vitology, although I drifted away from them a bit after Dave was sacked before January 2001, there was never really a point in that time when I could say I didn't like pearl jam anymore, specially when it came to the 1st three albums, but since getting back into them early 2001 I haven't looked back and I intend to listen to every album through as soon as it comes out, and it started with riot act, so I don't drift away again!

Masters of War at Bobfest...I will NEVER forget walking though the living room during the old fogie fest and seeing Ed and Mike performing.
THIS is Pearl Jam? THIS is what I have been missing? Ran out and bought Ten, then VS which was soon released, and here I am, 13 shows later...

Alive. I heard it on the radio and really liked it then the followign weekend my friend came home from visiting his relatives in Portland and bought back Ten with him. They have been one of my top two bands ever since that day (neil young slips into the number one spot from time to time)

it was alive for me, but not until about 2001 when i saw it played live on snl when i became hooked on pearl jam. i had always liked hearing pearl jam on the radio but it never went further than that. until that re-run of snl came on and wow, eddie and the band blew me away, thats when i became a hardcore fan.

BLACK
I hated PJ until I heard Black on a day I decided to skip school my junior year and go to the lake with my friend Wes. It was 1994, and we were riding in his black 1982 Poniac Fierro. What a day!!

I Am Mine
I was a big fan of Creed and i kept hearing all the critcisms calling Scott Stapp a rip-off of Eddie Vedder. So i stumbled upon I Am Mine from Bridge School 2001, and i just fell in love.
I've since lost my Creed CDs and i don't care.

well... jeremy was the first song I heard, and also the first song I was over exposed to, and honestly I didn't really care for it at first... so I guess you could say I was raped with jeremy
but the first song I embrassed and fell in love with... the song I had consentual listening with was Black. Even though I had been exposed to Even Flow, Alive, and Jeremy... I will always consider Black to be my first.

For me it was Even Flow. I remember hearing it for the first time on the radio (I didnt hear the whole song, just the last half or so), and I loved it right away. That is odd for me, to like a song after hearing it only once. Pearl Jam is one of the few bands out there that will have that effect on me.
Then I saw the video for Jeremy. That was it, I was definately a fan from that moment. It was icing on the Even Flow cake. I remember sitting there watching the video, just amazed. I was like "omg can that guy sing, especially at the end. The music part is awesome too."
I will always have a special place in my heart for those 2 songs.
