I just mean in regards to their propensity for merging and locking threads. It seems like the only thing on this board any more is merged threads and stupid shit like stone's bitches or song of the moment. So what if something's posted twice? Don't lock it. At least when I come on here there's something new to look at. I don't mean this as a personal attack I just think they have to let the board flow more rather than try to control the flow. It used to be more interesting that way.

I think the mods here are pretty lenient.
You should the the LiveNirvana forums. They'll lock a thread just after a single post that's offtopic, or a single insult. They've even changed people's words to something else because they don't agree with it.
The mods do a fine job. Seriously.

I heard Stip killed a kitty and also that GOS had a girlfriend but then he cheated on her and he didn't even bother to tell her that he wanted to break up, he just didn't return her phone calls anymore.

If the topic has been discussed, merge to another thread. Off topic, move it to another another forum. The mods here are good at that.
I'm not a fan of locking/deleting threads, no matter how stupid they are. I say let the users blast them and they will learn their lessons that way (e.g. BRY).
Also it discourages more people from starting potentially good threads out of fear it will get locked/deleted.

The alternative is ridiculous, unintelligible shit ruling this message board. I come here because there is a minimum requirement for civility and a maximum level of stupidity allowed here in this forum. There are other PJ message boards that provide great examples of what we dont want this to become!! If you want to hear and see what it would be like if the mods allowed b.s. to flow completely unfiltered, check some of them out. Eventually there would be no talk about Pearl Jam at all, it would be a cockfight to see who could be the meanest, stupidest or most ridiculous, and the only ones left here to post would be the ones who enjoy that kind of thing. The mods get a big thank you from me, BECAUSE they lay the hammer down occasionally.
