Great first episode of Season 6. The shots of Shane when talking about Lem were perfectly done.

This is going to be great. I think we may see a Dutch-Vic alliance to take down Cavanaugh. I have no clue what is going to become of Shane. Great 1st episode.
Awesome. This show has a better plot before the first commercial break than most shows do over an entire episode. I love how far Kav is willing to go to frame Vic. And suicidal Shane was intense. I can't remember how many times I have been sure Shane is 30 seconds from death and yet he makes it out every damn time.
Good scene with Dani and Vic's ex-wife too. this season is going to rock.

I was thinking it would be cool if the writers forced Dutch to choose between saving Vic and solving that mass murder or hiding Cavanaugh's planting evidence and getting rid of Vic.

I love the change of Cavanaugh, from him playing by the rules, to not even caring about the law anymore and just wants to get Vic. Also Shane really just steals the show, his raw emotion was great this last episode!

All that build up and the Cavanaugh/Mackey war ends with a wimper?
Yeah that was pretty disappointing.
I don't get how all of a sudden Shane has a conscience. Considering all the shit they've done over the years its hard to believe he really cares what Vic does to the Guardo dude.

I don't he cares about Guardo so much as he hates himself for killing Lem and then letting Vic risk his life (and his family's and the whole strike team's) to exact a meaningless revenge. I think they are making the Shane character want to tell Vic. Maybe as show of loyalty or maybe as guilt.

Sure there’s no doubt Shane feels like shit about killing Lem especially now that he knows Lem didn’t turn on them. I can even understand him not backing up Vic with the kidnapping b/c that’s just a dumb move on Vics part. However the previews for next week made it seem like Shane might confess to save Guardo which is totally ridiculous.
That last episode was brutal. The writers love to make you feel sympathy for Vic, then make you detest the fucker all over again the following week. I really can't remember seeing anything like that on basic cable before.
The scene with Billings tackling the meth dealer, like he was on the strike team, was hilarious.
